Dear Sir/Ma'am,
Greetings! You may be aware that IIT Bombay, VNIT Nagpur and COE Pune have set up a network of Biomedical Engineering and Technology incubation Centres (BETiC) for accelerating indigenous healthcare innovation by bringing together clinicians, researchers and entrepreneurs. In the last one year, the BETiC team developed a dozen different medical devices in collaboration with expert surgeons from different hospitals, filed patents, and built strong commercial collaborations for successful market-entry.
This year BETiC is hosting a first-of-its kind Indian medical device expo for ‘Make-in-India’ medical devices that are suitable for local unmet clinical needs. The event will be organized by and held at Department of Production Engineering and Industrial Management, College of Engineering , Pune (COEP) and will run over 3 days, from 8th-10th April 2016. During the event, you will also be able to visit the departments and labs at COEP. There will be 40+ booths displaying innovative medical devices from researchers, entrepreneurs, and academic institutes across India. The expo will also see a visiting crowd of over a 1000 students, scientists, clinicians, industry veterans and academicians interested in medical device innovation.
Also, through this email, on behalf of BETiC team, it is my pleasure to extend a special invitation to you and interested faculty from your institute for the Indian Medical Device Expo.
As a part of awareness drive, we request you to display and circulate the event brochure attached with this mail in your college at appropriate place for maximum exposure.
We are currently accepting applications for the expo and encourage and invite you to apply for the same. The application form with details is enclosed with this email. You can also find the event brochure and registration form with details on http://betic.coep.org.in/ imde/. There are NO registration fees. Kindly note that the completed forms should reach us by 25/03/2016.
If you have any questions kindly contact our event in-charge, Prof Arati Mulay, on betic@coep.ac.in
