We are pleased to inform you that Computer Science Dept., ISTAR jointly with IEEE Gujarat Section organizing a “National Workshop on  Network, Network Simulation & Information Security [NWNSIS-2014]” from Monday, 24th November to Saturday, 29th November 2014 at ISTAR, Vallabh Vidyangar, Gujarat, India.

During the last decade simulation has become a very powerful and an important tool for planning, designing and controlling complex system. Nowadays an error in real life costs a lot of money. Looking at the tremendous interest from academia and industry to use NS-2 Network simulator in the research field of Wired and Wireless communications Networks, we organize [NWNSIS-2014]. The workshop program provides lectures and hands on sessions in the topic like Wired and Wireless Network Simulation, Mini Project on Routing Protocol Comparison in MANETs, Security issues in Ad Hoc Networks, Making changes in AODV Routing Protocol to enhance security, Designing Wireless Sensor Network simulations in NS-2, Designing Underwater Sensor Network Simulations in NS-2, Castalia Simulator for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), Multimedia Transmission over Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) using Castalia Simulator, password cracking and countermeasures and computer simulation of password hashing technique, Mobile Platform Security, Biometric Security, Digital Watermarking, Steganography and Cryptography technique and many more….

The workshop will be conducted by the  experienced faculty from the leading Institutions and practicing Industry.

The total numbers of participants are limited to 50 and selection will be based on academic background and research interest strictly.
