Call for Paper for Telecom Business Review (TBR)
It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management will be releasing its 9th consecutive issue of the "Telecom Business Review”- A Journal of Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management in September 2016.

TBR is a refereed journal with a process of double blind review, is registered with ISSN 0973-9114 and is currently indexed under ‘ProQuest’ and ‘i-scholar’ database. The journal is published every year by SITM with the objective of participating and promoting research in the field of Telecom, IT and Business. The TBR has been a platform for scholars, teachers, professionals and students to contribute and showcase their knowledge, research, experience, study results and findings in the relevant areas of Technology, Business and Management.

Papers or articles are invited under the following categories:
  • Conceptual papers
  • Analysis papers
  • Case studies
  • Review
An indicative list (NOT AN Exhaustive list) of topics is as under:

Technology: Telecom and technology are synonymous to each other and are quite often used interchangeably.
  • Wire-line & Wireless Networks
  • Quality of Service
  • OSS/BSS, Network Security, Telecom network Management
  • IT Risk and IT Infrastructure management
  • Any New Emerging Technology etc.
  • E-Governance
  • Telecom Regulation, Spectrum Allocation, Interconnection, Quality of Service(QoS)
Business: A substantial part of businesses today can be put down as innovative ways of popularizing and delivering inventions either existing or new. The evolution of the communication industry from mere telegraphic messages to wireless broadband triple play (voice, video and data) has led to numerous business models along the way. It has also hugely assisted the emergence of a plethora of start-ups. Few suggestive topics are:
  • Passive/Active Infrastructure Sharing
  • New Business Models in Telecom
  • Different/New Revenue Streams for CSPs etc.
  • Strategic Alliances in Telecom
Management: The term management is the crux of any business and the ICT industry is no exception. The efficient organization and co-ordination of activities is the essence of good management. Network Management takes centre-stage in Telecommunication. However, mere network management makes no business sense without the key traditional management aspects of Finance, Marketing, Operations and HR. Few suggestive topics are:
  • Marketing: Trends in Telecom / IT at Global/ Indian Level
  • Financial/Accounting Issues in Telecom/ IT
  • Project Management in Telecom/ IT
  • The future of HR- Transformational thinking for new era in Business
  • “Integrating multinational workforce”: The fine art of managing diversity etc.
Any other relevant Topics Concerned with Telecom/IT: It could include anything related to PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal and Environmental) analysis and relevant to Telecom. Few suggestive topics are:
  • Telecom Regulation, Spectrum Allocation, Interconnection etc.

  • Telecom Ecosystem etc.
