Barrio Reus
Barrio Sur, often called Barrio Reus, is well-known for its unique modernist architecture and individually colored houses painted in pinks, blues, greens, yellows, purples, oranges and reds.
Named after Spanish business man Emilio Reus, he created homes for workers and day laborers for 1,500.
In the mid-20th twentieth century, the outside of the building was remodeled, mainly by Italian artists and workers who wanted to introduce the concept of spiritu Urbis.
