The car skewered onto the metal fenceDrunk driver lucky to be alive after skewering car onto metal fence, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China - 18 Mar 2015A drunk driver from Zhenjiang in eastern China's Jiangsu Province is lucky to be alive after crashing their car into a road fence, which then impaled through their vehicle. Witness Mr. Xu said he heard a loud clashing sound and when he rushed out to see what had happened he saw the car skewered on the broken fence, commenting: 'It looked very scary.' The metal fence had ploughed through the front of the vehicle, destroying the bonnet and engine, before emerging out of the rear windscreen. Amazingly, the driver survived but he did suffer serious injuries to his chest where he was impaled by the barrier.
