The building stands at the heart of Barcelona since 1877, but did not feel the touch of Gaudi's hand until 1904, when the famous architect changed it. Excluding some maintainance work, the structure has not changed since, over 100 years ago.

Gaudi's design went far and deep. He changed the outer and inner designs. Among others, the roof of the building was designed to look like an animal's back, the outer walls became wave-like in form, the colors of the building varied and natural light strenghthened.
