We feel immense pleasure in inviting you to the Two - Week ISTE STTP on “Environmental Studies” Under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Government of India) during June 2nd, 2015 to June 12th , 2015.
School of Business, Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in collaboration with IIT Bombay is conducting a two-week ISTE STTP workshop through DISTANCE EDUCATION mode, on “Environmental Studies”. The workshop is sponsored by National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Government of India. The workshop Lectures will be transmitted live through internet to various coordinating remote centers across the country. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra is one of the remote centers with Remote Center ID=1041.
The topics that will be covered in this STTP are:
· Sustainable Development
· Ecology
· Biodiversity
· Natural Resources (Food, water, energy, forest)
· Environmental Pollution
· Social issues and Environment
· Ethics
· Economics
· Global Climate Change
Who Should Attend
Faculty colleagues who are presently teaching in Engineering, Diploma and Post-Graduate Science Institutes are eligible to attend this training programme. Science teachers (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology) should be teaching either PG courses (MSc Level) or UG Engineering courses (B.E/B.Tech). Faculty from Humanities (English, Economics, Social Sciences) and Management would also benefit in their teaching of the Environmental Studies course. This workshop is only for Faculty. Students are not entitled to attend the course.
Course Fee
Since the STTP is partly funded by the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD, Government of India), there is no fee for participation in the course.

Enrollment will be ONLY through the online mode. The online form contains a list of remote centers. From this list, please select a center close to your Institute/College, where you wish to attend the STTP. The last date for enrollment and for submission of permission letter is 20th May, 2015. A list of the selected participants will be uploaded on this website on 22nd May, 2015. The selected participants will also be informed by an email.
