Welcome to the Digital Photography School Newsletter

Thank you for your subscription to Digital Photography School's weekly newsletter - your subscription has been confirmed and you will receive your first newsletter later this week.

Please add newsletter@digital-photography-school.com to your email whitelist and/or contact/address list to ensure you get our emails.

My name is Darren Rowse (that's me on the right) and I'm the editor ofDigital Photography School (or DPS as our community often calls it).

This newsletter is sent out on a weekly basis on a Thursday or Friday(depending upon your time zone).

While you wait for your first newsletter I'd like to extend an invitation to you to get to know DPS a little better and start improving your Digital Photography.

The DPS Tutorials Area
Digital Photography School started out as a simple blog where I recorded the lessons that I was learning about my passion - Digital Photography.

Since it started it's grown into something of a library of thousands of photography tips and tutorials written by a variety of authors. Visiting our front page you'll see some of the latest tips but there are many more in the archives.

To help you catch up on some of these posts we've put together a number of compilation pages:
DPS Forum - a Photographic Community
Due to popular demand from readers of our blog we started a forum/community area at DPS in 2007. Since launching it's grown incredibly and now has tens of thousands of members who come together daily to share photos, ask for and give advice and learn together.

The DPS Forum is the most active place on the site and if you're not already a member (it is a different signup process to getting this newsletter) I highly recommend you register today and introduce yourself to our amazing community there.

The hottest parts of the forum include:
  • Weekly Assignments - weekly assignments are set to help you improve your photography
  • Critique My Shot - submit an image and ask others to help you improve your technique
  • How I took it - taken a great shot? Post it here and tell us how you took it.
The keys to both the forum and the blog have always been the comments and contributions of members - I hope you'll join in with the community learning that we've been doing lately.

Stay Tuned for your first newsletter.
Now that you've had quick a tour of DPS - all you have to do is sit back and wait for your first newsletter which will arrive in your inbox next Thursday or Friday.

In it you'll get updates on the latest blog posts and hottest discussions in the forum. We'll also occasionally send you special focus newsletters with tutorials from our archives around certain themes.

I'm looking forward to seeing you around DPS.

Darren Rowse
