We are really happy to announce that AURO University, Surat, Gujarat India and Manning School of Business University of Massachusetts, Lowell, USA is jointly organizing “GLOBAL CONFERENCE OF SERVICE MANAGEMENT” on 4th and 5th January 2014
Over the last twenty years there has been a major transformation in the world economy. This has led to shifts in the strategic thinking of businesses world-wide. Along with this shift there has been a dramatic change in the structure of the world economy and in individual countries. Manufacturing has been declining at a rapid pace in many countries while the service sector has been gaining momentum and is becoming the engine for growth and prosperity. This has led to changes in the composition of the labour force and thus the principles that govern the day-to-day operations and management of businesses.

This conference will focus on the challenges, opportunities and prospects of Services as the drivers for growth during this decade. In today’s economy, services lie at the core of economic activity. The explosive growth of services with the help of Technology (IT) has created new frontiers in competition but has also posed challenges and new opportunities for managers of business organizations. This conference will possibly provide answers to many of the challenges that are posed due to the rapid shifts taking place in the service sector of the world economy across most countries. It is equally important that economist, managers, business men, policymakers and academicians understand these issues.
