“MAPPING INDUSTRIAL GROWTH BY TAPPING SECTORS OF ADVANTAGE IN TELANGANA”

1030 hrs, 11 March 2015, Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad

CII Telangana is organizing its First Annual Session on 11^th March 2015 focusing on the theme “Mapping Industrial Growth by Tapping Sectors of Advantage in Telangana”, scheduled from 1030 hrs onwards, at Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad.

Post Reorganization of the State, Telangana emerged as the 29^th State of the Federal Republic of India on 2^nd June 2014. Industrialization will be the key strategy followed for economic growth and development for Telangana. There is a need for the stakeholder to work on creating jobs for the youth, maximize growth opportunities by optimum utilization of the available resources, and harness the talents and skills of the people. Industrialization holds the potential for fulfilling developmental objectives of the new state.

The Government of Telangana has come up with an Industrial Policy Framework, which is driven by the slogan of “In Telangana—Innovate, Incubate, Incorporate”. The policy framework intends to provide a business regulatory environment where doing business would be relatively easier. Innovation and technology will drive the industries of the Telangana State. The New State of Telangana has immense potential and some of the sectors have a competitive advantages, given its geographical location, available resources and skill-base, raw material availability, existing manufacturing practices and expertise, and opening up of new opportunities.

The objective of this session is to map industrial growth based on focusing the sectors of competitive advantage in Telangana like - Pharma & Biotech; Financial services; IT&ITES; Agro & Food Processing; Manufacturing; Real Estate; Media & Entertainment; Gems & Jewellery; Waste Management & Green Technologies; Renewable Energy; besides many others. The Session proposes to deliberate on most of these sectors through a high profile Panel discussion.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K Chandrashekar Rao has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Session.
