Join us for a special informal session
on Tuesday afternoon,
May 19th at
The ConFab Conference & Networking Event. Solid State Technology Editor-in-Chief, Pete Singer, will host a group of industry visionaries for an informal, interactive discussion designed to frame the theme of The ConFab 2015:
“Exploring the Edges of Semiconductor Technology and Business.”The theme of the conference addresses the fact that the semiconductor industry has never before been challenged on so many levels. We are at the edge of an era where conventional scaling is running out of steam, and the cost per transistor is rising. We on the edge of a revolution brought about by the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing. New, more complex device structures such as those found in FinFETs and vertical NAND devices is creating new challenges in manufacturing. And we are at the edge of a new age of materials and 3D integration, which brings another set of challenges.
This special
Tuesday, May 19th afternoon session will provide a forum for attendees to learn more about these critical trends, and join in the discussion, which will largely be based on questions asked in a survey of Solid State Technology readers conducted in advance of the conference. The preliminary results of the survey will be
exclusively available to those who attend this special session.
