Round table conference

We take pleasure in inviting you to be one of the members of the round table in the international round-table conference on the topic ““sustainable development new perspective and Emerging Trends” to be held at AIMS Institutes campus at Peenya, Bangalore on 13th February 2015 from 10 AM onward.

Aims centre of sustainability was established to sensitise all stake holders in the society about the need of sustainable practices for planets’ survival as our well being depends directly or indirectly on our natural environment. AIMS centre Sustainability is committed to conduct research and suggest solutions  to  create and maintain the conditions under which humans and nature can coexist in productive harmony that permits the fulfilling the social ,economic and other requirements of present and future generations.  

The Round Table Conference on “sustainable development new perspective and Emerging Trends” will bring together senior level executive, industry experts and academicians to discuss and debate the new perspective and emerging trends in sustainability and its impact.
Vision: To highlight Sustainable development as a positive global force for driving sustainable environmental, social and economic prosperity.
Mission: To share knowledge, promote innovation and best practices on sustainability.
The round table will debate five main tracks of sustainable development.
1. Water management
Water, once an abundant natural resource, is becoming a more valuable commodity due to overuse and misuse.  Round table on Water management will debate, discuss and recommend water conservation and recycle techniques.
 

2. Solid waste Management
The per capita waste generation rate in India is continuously increasing fuelled by changing lifestyles and increase in purchasing power of urban and rural Indians. Urban population growth and increase in per capita waste generation have resulted in a continuous increase in the waste generated by Indian cities which is becoming a serious problem. Round table on solid waste management will debate and suggest new technologies to convert solid waste to other useable products.
3. Energy Management:
Huge changes are required in moving toward sustainable energy futures. Many of these centre around implementing energy conservation projects. India produces its electricity mainly through coal and   improving the prospects for innovation and diffusion of decentralised and renewable energy sources such as biomass, solar, wind and hydro energy projects are required for sustainable energy future.
4. Environment Management
Environment Management round table will debate and recommend solutions for Ecosystems which are intrinsically valuable for survival. It will also debate that no one particular ecosystem is more valuable than others and will suggest practices to ensure that that ecosystem remains in equilibrium.
5. Green Practices
The Green Practices round table will strive to develop and recommend practices that improve environmental quality, decrease waste and conserve natural resources and energy, thereby establishing   practical models for other to follow.
