Did you know that you can do simple things in your home to help your child (regardless of age) develop good reading habits? In addition to good books, a child needs to start liking reading and enjoying books. Here are some simple suggestions that can be used to inculcate good reading habits in a child :
1. Let your child observe you reading on a regular basis.
2. To stimulate reading, keep reading material and books all over the house. Studies suggest that children who read books, in addition to their school books, do better in school.
3. Take them to a library.
4. A child may be allowed to watch television only after they have done their daily reading.
