All India Management Association is pleased to inform you about the Harvard Business School (HBS) Executive Education Program on “Building A Global Enterprise – India”. The program will be held from April 28 to May 1, 2014 in HBS classroom at Hotel Taj Lands End (Mumbai) which is a replica of the Boston classroom. The programme will be taught by the renowned HBS faculty from the Boston campus Prof Tarun Khanna and Prof Scott A Snook.
Putting the spotlight on India, this leadership development program explores how local businesses and multinational companies can position their organizations to succeed. This program will explore case study on organizations that have pursued scale within and beyond their home markets. Along with new insights into market trends, these cases will help you develop more competitive strategies and lead your organization to success, both within and outside India.
Drawing lessons from companies in India and other rapidly developing regions, faculty chair, emerging-market expert, and author of the book "Winning in Emerging Markets," Professor Tarun Khanna will lead a dynamic exploration of how organizations can overcome cross-border issues, take advantage of opportunities resulting from the downturn, and expand operations globally along with Professor Scott A Snook.
The curriculum is centered on three major themes:
Strategy
- Identifying your organization's unique value proposition, or what sets your company apart from the competition
- Evaluating and addressing the unique challenges and key differences of operating in emerging versus developed economies
- Devising effective market segmentation and targeting within a large emerging market
- Knowing when to compete and when to cooperate or partner

- Defining the critical role of leadership in implementing enterprise change
- Aligning the energies of talented leaders with your corporate goals
- Driving performance and delivering results across your enterprise
- Building and managing effective relationships at the individual, team, and organizational levels
- Setting the tone and creating an organizational culture with strong values and high integrity
Talent Management
- Managing talent in a rapidly growing market with high mobility and turnover
- Encouraging individual creativity and innovation at all levels of the organization
- Running an effective performance appraisal and management system
- Training and developing a large base of talented front-line employees and managers
- Enhancing succession planning to build a deep talent bench

Upon the successful completion of the programme, participants will be conferred with a “Certificate” awarded by Harvard Business School.
The participation fee of the Program is INR 2,40,000/- plus 12.36% service tax. The program fee covers tuition, books, case studies, accommodations and most meals. The payment could be made thru a check or DD drawn in favor of “All India Management Association” payable at New Delhi..
