CALL FOR PAPERS
For one of the biggest International Relations conferences in western India
For one of the biggest International Relations conferences in western India
We invite you to submit complete research papers at the third edition of International Relations Conference (IRC) which will take place on October 10- 11 in Pune, India. The IRC provides a unique environment to deliberate and interact with participants and guests from academia, government, corporates, and non- government organizations. This year’s conference is titled “Link West: India and the Gulf”. The paper presentation is scheduled for 9 October 2015, 10 am onwards.
Papers could be submitted under the following themes:
1. REGIONAL SECURITY SCENARIO
2. THE GULF REGION IN INDIA'S ENERGY SECURITY LANDSCAPE
3. INDIA'S RELATIONS WITH IRAN AND IRAQ
4. INDIA-GCC: TRADE AND INVESTMENT TIES
5. SOFT POWER: INDIA-GULF EDUCATION AND CULTURAL TIES
Suggested sub- topics include but are not limited to:

5. SOFT POWER: INDIA-GULF EDUCATION AND CULTURAL TIES
· Vision 2030 - South Asia and Gulf Countries: Role of SAARC and GCC
· Role of the Indian private sector in enhancing educational and cultural relations
· Government institutional initiatives in enhancing bi-lateral talks: ICCR, ICWA and BCCI
Important Dates
Please submit your paper on or before 25 September 2015. No submissions will be accepted after that. Authors will be notified whether their paper have been accepted for the conference by 30 September 2015.
Registration Fee and Details
· The cost of paper submission is INR2000 or USD50. This will include the following:
Accommodation at Symbiosis University’s Lavale campus, only for the paper presenter (preference will be given to out of station participants. Kindly indicate accommodation requirement when you register on-line); Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks)
· The cost will not cover transportation and any other expenses apart from those mentioned above.
· Name and details of author and co-authors have to be submitted on the conference website while registering. Please note, INR 2000 is the cost of per person registration for the event. In that case, if any co- author wants to register, he/ she should do it via the delegate registration portal.
· In case the paper is not accepted for the conference, the authors will be duly notified and INR 1500 will be refunded. If you still wish to attend the conference or if the author wishes not to attend the conference, the same should be communicated to the IRC secretariat at swarnakshi.luhach@siis.edu.in
· All participants will receive a certificate during the valedictory session of the conference on 11 October 2015.

I hereby give my permission to the event producers and owners and their successors, their agents and representatives, to record and distribute audio tapes, photographs, videos and any other media that contain all or a portion of any presentations I give, papers I present, hand out materials I distribute, and panel discussions in which I participate at this event, without any obligation on event owner’s part to pay me fees or royalty.
