Selection on the basis of bank balance or merit in higher education?

Dear Professionals,
Greetings!
The batch 2012-14 at most of the B-schools is ready to go in the corporate world and most of us have started the process for admitting batch 2014-16.
Just wanted to know that what has been the placement scenario for the passing out batch. We feel that the scenario was not as good as it had been year 2012 and 2013.  What is your observation?
Similarly for admission to the new batch we have had a very encouraging response. What is your experience in this regard?

Looking forward for your response.

Best regards,

Respected Sir/Madam,
A warm good morning and wishes to you all, today i want to raise the big question regarding the corruption in selection process of teachers. in the recent times a lot of news being heard that people are offering lakhs and lakhs of rupees for appointment while their profile speaks that they are much below the meritious student. today if this practice is adopted competent people will leave this field and choose the other field.
Is this fair? Selection on the basis of bank balance or merit?

lets take oth to make as better world..... why dont people select teachers who can really contribute in this field.
