22nd IISSM ANNUAL PROFESSIONAL AWARDS

1. The IISSM Annual International Seminar on “Disaster Mitigation and Loss Prevention through Security, Safety & Fire Prevention” will be held from 10 to 12th October 2012 , New Delhi, INDIA. The Annual Professional Awards night will be held at Chelmsford Club, New Delhi on 11th Oct 2012.
Award Nomination Fee - Rs.5000.00
2. As in the past 22 years, one of the highlights of IISSM 2012 will be the competition for IISSM’s Annual Professional Awards. The following awards shall be given to the most deserving candidates during the event:
i) Best Security Professional of the Year
ii) Best Occupational Health and Safety Professional
iii) Best Fire Prevention Professional
iv) Best Disaster Management Professional
The above awards are one from each of the following sectors:
Hospitals/ Hotels/ Airports / Ports/ Cement/ Sugar/ Steel/ Automobiles/ Mines/ Shopping Malls / Educational Institutions / BPOs / Any other sector having deserving representation.
v) Security / Safety / Fire Prevention Consultant of the Year
vi) Security / Safety / Fire Prevention Practitioner of the Year
vii) Security / Safety / Fire Prevention Operations Manager of the Year
viii) Private Investigator of the Year
ix) Security Systems Integrator of the Year
x) Emerging Security / Safety / Fire Prevention Professional of the Year
xi) Best Case Study Award (to be decided on the spot by jury)
xii) Best Delegate Award (to be decided on the spot by jury)
3. Nominations in the prescribed form (attached) for the above-mentioned categories are invited. There has to be one sponsor to be seconded by another for every nomination. One cannot nominate oneself for any of these awards. Both the nominee and sponsoring authority should be present during the Seminar. Both proposer and seconder has to be a delegate of IISSM’2012 and make themselves available for jury’s questions, if needed. Individuals receiving the same award in past years stand debarred. Anyone who is a member of the Executive Committee / Board of Governors or is a Foundation Member or employee of any Company owned by any of the Foundation Members / EC members / BoG Members of IISSM, is not entitled to any of the Awards.
However, they are free to nominate/ second any one / any company for an award.
4. Nomination with candidates brief CV (about 100 words), recent colour photograph and a citation in 150 words as to why this award should go to this nominee with full details of the proposer should reach IISSM secretariat by e-mail (awards@iissm.com) in word format (with the fee paid online at the IISSM website) or in hard copy with a Demand Draft / Pay Order for the requisite amount (payable to IISSM at New Delhi) latest by 20 September 2012, so that the nominations can be included in the booklet to be printed for circulation among the delegates for voting purpose. Nominations received after 20 September 2012 will not be accepted.
